According to Dave Snyder, shear foreman at a large scrapyard in Omaha, Nebraska- “If these tires weren’t flatproofed, that fork truck would be down with a flat every 15 minutes”.

The M-1000 Heavy Duty Tank Hauler was losing an average of two tires daily due to extreme operating conditions. After flatproofing these tires with RePneu, it required over five months to experience the same two tire failures that were originally occurring each day!
Not only does foam filling increase productivity, but significantly reduces costs as in just the first five months alone, this application realized an improvement of 15,000%
Not unlike the tire shortage back in the mid-2000′s, demand for very large tires in the mining industry may soon exceed supply. “By the end of this year, or early next year, we will be in a potentially serious tire shortage situation,” said Cat Global Mining President Chris Curfman.
Much of the demand for larger mining equipment is coming from emerging markets such China, India and Russia, as well as to top Latin American markets Chile, Peru and Brazil “The whole mining industry is really on fire,” said Curfman. “We’re seeing a back-up in availability on some products going out eight to 12 months.”
